How to set up verification and captcha on Discord
Stop bots and raiders with a Verify button or an image captcha. Elarix hides your server until new members verify. Free.
How it works
New members only see one channel with a Verify panel. Once they pass, Elarix gives them a role that unlocks the rest of the server.
Set it up
- Create a role for verified members (for example Member), below Elarix's role.
- Create a channel like #verify.
- Run /protect verification setup: pick that channel, the role, the mode, and set lock_server to True. Elarix posts the panel and updates channel permissions so only verified members see the rest.
Button or captcha?
Button is one click and stops most bots. Captcha asks for the code in an image, which stops more bots. Switch any time with /protect verification mode.
Questions
Will existing members have to verify?
Only people without the verified role. Give it to everyone at once with /role all.
